Choosing Colored Mascara Based on Skin Tone

Women with a very light skin tone look their best with colored mascara and eye liner in softer colors, a lighter shade of brown will look very natural and will still accentuate the look of the eye.
When going for a very dramatic evening make-up look, black or a very dark grey or blue can look gorgeous. Of course the color of the (permanent) eye liner will have to match with the mascara. To sum it up:

1. Blond, grey or lighter shades or red hair will go well with shades of brown, light grey or blue.

2. Dark haired women will look their best wearing black or dark grey eye liner and mascara.

Dressing Up For The Occasion
Depending on the occasion, a more dramatic make up can be used, a candlelit dinner (soft lighting) is a suitable occasion to go for a stronger look and in that case even light haired women can wear black liner and mascara and still look great. When carefully applied, darker shades of eye shadow can complement the look, along with a darker than usual lipstick color.
Care While Using Cosmetics
No matter how well applied and how great you look, your skin will not thank you if you do not perform a nightly cleaning and moisturising routine before you go to bed. Skin will look worn and dull if this is forgotten and make up will look dry and patchy when skin is not moisturised.
Colored mascara brushes benefit from a regular cleaning (wash with gentle soap and let the brush dry before using it again) and sponges and brushes that are used to apply make up need to be cleaned regularly. As these items touch the skin bacteria might build up in them possibly resulting in skin or eye infection. Liquid eyeliner mascara applicators need to be replaced at least every 6 months to avoid bacteria build up.
