  • Paragon Corneal Refractive Therapy- CRT
Orthokeratology -ORTHO K
This is the use of prescription rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lenses to temporarily reshape the cornea for those suffering from farsightedness (hyperopia) and nearsightedness (myopia). Eyes first need to be measured and digitally mapped with a corneal topographer. Then contact lenses are manufactured to the specific measurements and ideally worn by the patient for about 8 hour a day until desired correction is achieved. Then patients are stepped down to wearing the lenses only a few hours a day until the doctor determines that the lenses are no longer needed in order to obtain desired visual acuity.
Paragon Corneal Refractive Therapy- CRT
This is the first “nighttime corneal refractive therapy” approved by the FDA in 2002 for the non surgical correction of nearsightedness (myopia) with or without astigmatism. After the eyes are digitally measured and mapped oxygen permeable contact lens (OPC) are manufactured for patients to use while they sleep in order to improve vision during the day. Vision is usually restored in as little as a few days after using the contacts at night, and as long as patients wear the lens at night they can maintain excellent vision during the day without the use of contacts or corrective glasses.
