Eye care free of charge Eye care is one of the most expensive types of health care and the eyes are the most vulnerable organ in the human body. Eye care is a necessity but often an impossible type of health care to pay for by people living on a low income. Eye care insurance prices vary greatly and only the more expensive types of insurance cover all type of eye care. Over 250 people living in Oregon have the opportunity to receive free medical care if they have a low income. Dental care and other types of medical care as well as eye care will be available for free through four different health care clinics on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Kaiser Permanente doctors will be offering free health care at the Wallace Medical Concern clinic situated in Gresham, Oregon. Other free clinics will be open for patients in Southwest Washington in Vancouver and more free health care can be found at the North by Northeast Community Health Center in Portland. There will be dentists available to provide free dental exams for both middle and high school students. These exams will take place at the Kaiser Permanente's North Interstate Dental Office. In total around 50 medical carers in total will be offering free care through 4 different clinics. This opportunity will probably be repeated if many people turn up for free care. This care is open and available to uninsured and low-income patients. The clinic will have Spanish interpreters available for those who do not master the English language and patients will be served on a first come, first serve basis. People with any kind of health problem are welcome and there is no need to make appointments. |
